Kids & Preschool - Water Exploration - Splash Classes
Splash 1: 6 months and older who are not comfortable in the water

Splash 2: 3 years and older, comfortable in the water, but not ready to swim without a parent
 
Splash 3: 5 years and older, confident in the water and submerging with minimal assistance.

This class is great for both kids who love bath time and those kids who are nervous about water in their faces.  By singing songs and playing games in the pool, students will explore their faces in the water, but they are never forced.  Some of the basic skills are:  water adjustment, breath control, balance, and personal pool safety. We also practice boating safety and basic first aid by the water.  Students are fitted with a Coast Guard approved lifejacket before going in the small inflatable boat.  The CERC is a wonderful place to meet new friends and learn basic water skills.

For:  6 months – 8 year old must have a legal adult in the water with them.

Class size is limited - The first 10 PAID registrations for each class are guaranteed a spot.
 
Swim Classes
 
Swim Basics - Students will learn personal water safety and achieve basic swimming competency by learning two bench mark skills 1) Swim, float, swim - sequencing front glide, roll, back float, roll, front glide and exit. 2) Jump, push turn grab. 
 
Swim Strokes - having mastered the fundamentals, students learn additional water safety skills and build stroke technique, developing skills that prevent chronic disease, increase social-emotional and cognitive well-being, and foster a lifetime of physical activity.

Adult Stroke Improvement
This program is open to 18+ who want to train for open water swimming as triathletes or for competition, or who like challenging swimming workouts for the exercise benefits.

Water Aerobics
Water Aerobics is a fun way to work out, great for your heart, builds stronger muscles, improves posture, and allows meeting new people.  Routines are in a musical and aquatic environment.  No swimming skills are needed.  This class is great for adults of all ages.

The classes are filled on a first come, first served basis, and all students must be pre-registered for the swim lessons!
